Carolyn's Mill
Founded in 1881 the Ledbetter Manufacturing Company
originally used our beautiful setting to manufacture
yarn, operating entirely on water power until World
War II. In 1962 it was reported (in an industry
journal) that the mill was responsible for producing
2,500,00 pounds of yarn, which in those days
sold for approximately $1,500,000 dollars.
